Where creativity grows, and community grooves.
Rhythm & Roots Music School was founded with a simple belief: music is better when it’s shared. We’re building a space in Charlotte, NC where students of all ages can come together to learn, play, and grow through music.
We offer group-based music lessons designed to help students build skills, confidence, and community through collaboration—not isolation. Wesley Jackson, a passionate musician and educator, started Rhythm & Roots to bring more access to music education across Charlotte. With a love for rhythm and a deep respect for the power of musical roots, [he] built this school with the community in mind.
Hi, I'm Wesley Jackson — a passionate musician and dedicated music teacher with over three years of experience giving private lessons in guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. With 16 years of experience as a paid performer, music has been both my career and my calling.
Now, I’m excited to take the next big step by opening my own music school. My mission is simple but powerful: to create new musicians as fast as humanly possible. I believe music should be accessible to everyone, which is why I’m committed to offering affordable lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds.
I work hard to make music theory less intimidating and more intuitive, whether you’re a complete beginner or have a little experience under your belt. My approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into easy-to-understand concepts so students can start making music quickly and confidently. Music is for everyone — and I’m here to help you find your sound.
